M. Butterfly

Watched M. Butterfly last night at On Stage Greenbelt with the usual suspects - Alexis, Kookie and Jovan. The play was an intellectual one, appreciation of the play was based on the script more than the very simple set. It wasn't really visual (but eyes popped when one of the ladies stripped behind a window and the lead actor stripped too, although the audience only saw his back). I absolutely loved the ending!

Gimmick, gimmick

We had dinner at Recipes in Greenbelt 3 after the play. The food was pretty good, and the prices were reasonable. The night before we were also with Alexis, plus Rochelle, a good friend from college, and some Globe people. First we went to Nuvo in Greenbelt 2 where the prices are disgustingly high. Imagine paying P190 for a shot of Tequila Rose! I don't remember any appetizer priced at less than P150. Sheesh. Then we had coffee at Starbucks 6750 - still open at past 1AM! I remember Gina telling me that the Starbucks branches in the US close at around 10PM. Anyway, after having coffee in Starbucks we went to Dreambar. Since it was almost 2AM, people were already either drunk or tipsy, and sweaty from all the dancing. The place was overflowing, and some people were in the streets - which didn't stop them from partying.

Last night, after Recipes, we drank the night away with Gato Negro, Tequila Rose, and Baileys. Yum.
