THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!! I am so looking forward to this weekend. The week has been hell! Well, come to think of it, the past two and a half months have been really hectic. There are some days that when I still feel okay at the end of the day, even if I'm tired. But there are just some days when I end up thinking - is this worth it? Don't get me wrong, I love my job and I love the people here. But, I'm human. I get tired. And sometimes I get fed up.
Anyway, enough of that. IT'S FRIDAY!!! YAHOO!!!

My Perfect Weekend
This weekend was just perfect. Perfect. Yesterday, I woke up early so we could go to Glorietta to check out the new Hot Wind shoes. I was with Mommy and Jovan. We made sure we left early because of the midnight madness sale. There were 3 pairs I liked but unfortunately, they didn't have my size. But at least my mom was able to get a pair. :) We had lunch in Italiannis, then off we went to Executive Optical in Megamall. Unfortunately, there wasn't any stock for my right lens. Note to self - try to visit the American Eye Center in Shangri-la, the service in EO is beginning to suck. Anyway, we also got to check out the trade fair at Megatrade Hall. Then we went to St. Luke's for Jovan's ultrasound. When we got home, I took a short nap, then we all went to mass. We then had dinner in Fuzion at Eastwood - Daddy's treat! They have the BEST smoothie!!! Service wasn't that great but the smoothie was just awesome, I forgot about how late the food was served.
Jovan joined the Globe boys in conquering THE WALL this morning. I woke up a bit early to clean the room and buy food for everybody. Then Sharon, Cathy, and Mads arrived. Lunch was from World Topps (KFC salad for me though). Big brother Michael O arrived shortly after, then we all watched Memoirs of a Geisha. It was a lazy afternoon, especially since the movie started really slow. But we all got into it somehow. After the movie, we went to Ateneo to watch Mads, Cathy and Cookie play football. There were met Clar, who was biking. The afternoon was full of laughter, food from McDo, and "usapang lasing". It was a lovely afternoon, and I'm glad I spent it with friends. Then we went to Fuzion again (haha) with Cathy and Sharon to have a smoothie.
Being with my hubby, family and good friends, with good food, great stories, and lots of laughter... Just simple joys. But these made it a perfect weekend.

The Great Davao Adventure
One day last January, Mike, Clar, Mads and I decided to go to Davao via Cebu Pacific. We thought the tickets were cheap (we were wrong!) so we went for it! The three of them haven't visited Davao yet and I haven't been there in 15 (?) years! So the four of us and Jovan went to Davao last February 24, 2006, while all the coup threats were happening. It was really weird because if you didn't watch TV for the news, you wouldn't know that Manila was chaotic. It was quiet, everything's laid back, there was no traffic, it was so different...
Our schedule was FULL, from the time we arrived til the time we left (February 27, Monday). We were up at 6:30AM and we slept at around 12 midnight. IT WAS FUN! We had a blast, thanks to my cousins! For me, that was one of the best trips ever!This was our itinerary:

- Dinner at Suka at Sili in The Venue
- Massage at Holiday Spa
- Inuman till 2:30 AM at Davao's Coldest Beer place, Bakbak

- Went to Dive Shop for equipment fitting
- Boat ride to Talikud Island
- Left food to be cooked with the resort caretaker

- Lunch at Talikud Island at around 1:00 PM
- Left for Davao City at around 4:30 PM
- Arrived at Dive Shop at around 5:45 PM
- Heard Mass at Sta. Ana church dripping wet
- Back to Linmarr to shower and change
- Feasted at Madayaw
- Hung out at Whistletop
- Back to Linmarr at around 1:00 AM

We had lunch at Harana, which for me was full of childhood memories. The food was awesome and right there and then, everyone bonded!
We visited the crocodile park, one of the main attractions there, mainly to reserve for whitewater rafting. We took so many pictures, it was so obvious that we were turistas!
Of course we visited the Philippine Eagle Center. We also went to Malagos Garden Resort to check out the orchids, the bird show and the butterflies.
I still cannot believe that they were able to convince me to join them for whitewater rafting! My friends know that I am definitely not the type who would do aventurous activities, especially if it involves 'water' other than pool water. But I joined them, and I'm glad that I did, because I enjoyed it tremendously. IT WAS FUN! Well, a big part of it was because our raft did not capsize, AND we had a great guide, Jepoy. It was an awesome experience, share with awesome friends (plus hubby of course)!
Had dinner at Suka't Sili at The Venue. Of course the food was yummy. Main memory: John teaching Mike how to eat kuhol.
We rented a boat to Talikud Island where Mike, Clar, and Mads had their intro dive. (Okay, that's really something I won't do...) We had lunch there - a communal lunch on dahon ng saging - with food that we asked the locals there to cook for us. (Before the dive, we dropped off the food.) We relaxed in the afternoon, and it was fun just being with everyone, even if it rained.
Our last feast there was in Madayaw, where we had lechon biik. Imagine, yummy lechon biik, bottomless rice, two orders of kinilaw, and a Pepsi, all for P1,700!
Of course I have more pictures, thanks to everyone else's cameras. I just don't have time to resize all of the pics. Anyway, we had a blast, and that's something I will never forget, ever. Thank you so much to Manong Louie, Manong Jayjay, Manong John, Manang Ada, and Manong Manoy. We had so much fun that we're actually going back for The Great Davao Adventure Part 2 in August, in time for the Kadayawan Festival. I can't wait!
