If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. - Mother Teresa

Yesterday, during mass, I had a really emotional moment. I was with my cousin, and we were seated behind a family. A VERY happy family. Three kids, mom and dad, grandma, and yaya. The youngest was probably 1 1/2 years old. The other two, around 8 or 9. They were hugging the kissing their dad often, and they were playing with their youngest sibling. The baby was malikot, she wanted to be carried by her mom, her dad, and grandma.

When I saw the grandma, I was actually beginning to tear because I thought about my mom, my parents. How they'll be that old in around 7 to 10 years. I can't imagine them being gone. I'm the only child so it's a bit different for me. I know that we have our friends and other relatives, but the closeness with the immediate family is different. They're really the only ones I have, aside from the family that I will have in the future.

But now that I'm thinking about it again, I realize that I'm selfish. I'm getting sad because I'm thinking of ME. I should actually be grateful to God for giving me this wonderful family, even if we're only three.

Blurry by Puddle of Mudd is really nice. It's so... true. Especially the first part.

I really think it's part of the duty of HR to take care of their employees, especially when there's so much work and everyone's really stressed out. Wishful thinking?

Hell week at work!

Tuesday, March 18, 2003

My officemates went to Tagaytay for a two-day planning session.

To the math wizards out there, please compute:

7 gin pomelos
1 liter colt 45
15 cans of san mig light
9 people

How many brain cells were burned last night? :D

Soon, there will be a shortage of brain cells here in the office.
Updates, Photography

Haven't been blogging regularly lately. Still too busy in the office, and too tired to go online from home. Grabe pala talaga ang trabaho dito.

But there's something nice going on. I love my photography lessons! I always look forward to it! It doesn't matter if I have to wake up earlier so that I can be in the office earlier since I have to leave at 6:30PM. It doesn't matter if I don't get to eat decent dinner because of it (it starts at 7PM so I eat in the car). It ends really late, a little past 10PM, so by that I'm really tired. But I'm learning a lot and I'm really enjoying it. Doing the photo projects is also exciting. We've had 2 photo projects and I'm proud to say that the pictures I submitted had good reviews. It helps that some of my pictures are really nice - I'm encouraged to continue since I see I can actually do well in the future. I just need to practice. Practice, practice, practice.

And of course I need to buy a lens cleaning kit, a tripod, and in the future, a polarizer. Where can I buy good ones that are not that expensive, and not in Quiapo? :D

I'll try to scan the pics so that I can post them.

Before, when I don't get to blog, it's because I was lazy, or I couldn't find anything to write about. The past week, it's because I've been so busy. Busy busy busy busy.

Anyway, work is okay now.

But life is still just a routine. I'm trying my best to do other things (example: photography), but it's not working. I guess happiness comes from within. Because no matter what you do, may it be simple or complicated, long or short, if you're generally happy, then you'll be okay.

Sigh.

Yeah, happiness is this month's theme alright.

Inspirational Text Messages

I subscribed to a different SMS service. The ones from SEEK were becoming 'baduy'.

When problems are so big and your strength is no longer enough to carry them, don't give up. Where your strength ends, the grace of God begins.

We must move from asking God to take care of the things that are breaking our hearts, to praying about the things that are breaking His heart.

Prayer does not change God, but it changes him whoprays. The value of consistent prayer is not that He will hear us, but that we will hear Him.

Mrs. Gump:Well, I happen to believe you make your own destiny. You have to do the best with what God gave you. - Forrest Gump

The AMA Robotics Commercial

Do they really have a robot that looks human in AMA? Someone told me that they don't, they only have mini-robots. I think that the commercial is very effective because people remember it, and people actually talk about it. However, isn't it false advertising? The result of watching the ad is that the viewer is impressed because he or she thinks that kind of robot is available in AMA, which isn't true.

If there's someone from the advertising industry who's reading this, please enlighten me.
